Westchester Torah Academy will be hosting its first ever Color Run on June 11 at 10 a.m. This will be a fun-filled event that culminates the school year with family and friends and brings the entire WTA community together in support of WTA’s promise for accessible Jewish education. With a goal of raising $70,000, Color Run is an event that will involve families and friends in support of WTA’s mission.
Families at WTA will be creating their own fundraising pages to seek sponsorships from family, friends, coworkers and neighbors. At the event, the students and friends will get together on WTA’s new campus for a fun-filled, paint-filled run outdoors. Participants run through activity stations and complete tasks all while being sprayed with natural paint along the way. Other simultaneous and fun activities are to be held as well.
To date, many families and even local businesses have also been supportive of the cause in Riverdale and Westchester. The new campus on 150 Stratton Road in New Rochelle will house the event, and since WTA has a good relationship with adjacent school Iona Preparatory, they are offering their property for parking so the entire WTA grounds will be available for the activities.
Many families have jumped on board to help grow WTA’s footprint and share their love of the school. Students have been getting excited for the event and learning of this fun way to do chesed by raising money for the school they love.
