The Yeshiva University women’s basketball team earned a historical Skyline win over Purchase College, 65-53, at the Purchase College gymnasium on Sunday afternoon. This was the first Skyline win for the Maccabees since rejoining the Skyline Conference in 2015. The Maccabees previously played in the Skyline from 2007-2011.

“I am very proud of this team,” Yeshiva University head coach, Michael Alon, said. “They fought hard all year and deserve this moment.”

Varsity Storm Hockey Takes Down Lions in Close Battle

On Tuesday night, the TABC Storm took on the MTA Lions in a battle at TABC. After a scoreless first period, with both goalies making important saves, the Lions jumped out to a 1-0 lead. On the very next shift, the Storm tied it up. Going into the third tied 1-1, both teams came out fired up, and in the first few minutes of the period the Storm scored twice to take a 3-1 commanding lead. The Lions scored halfway through the period to make it 3-2, but could not find the back of the net again. The Storm now travel to HAFTR for an epic quarterfinal matchup on Thursday night, March 2.
