Tuesday, September 10, is the evening to schmooze with cast members and the co-creator of the international sensation “Shtisel,” in a behind-the-scenes look at the hit Israeli TV show that has everyone glued to their television sets. “Shtisel: Behind the Scenes of the Unorthodox Orthodox Drama,” an insiders panel discussion, will include clips from the Israeli series and will be held from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Westchester Reform Temple, 225 Mamaroneck Road, Scarsdale, New York.
Guests will meet Doval’e Glickman, Neta Riskin and Ayelet Zurer along with writer and co-creator Ori Elon. “Shtisel,” which airs domestically on Netflix, is a sensitive, loving portrayal of a multi-generational family living in Jerusalem that lifts the veil on family life in the Orthodox community, long hidden by its insularity.
The panel discussion is presented by UJA-Federation of New York, Jewish Week Media Group and the Westchester Reform Temple. Tickets start at $50 and can be purchased at www.ujafedny.org/shtisel-westchester.
