UJA-Federation of New York’s annual Supplies for Success backpack assembly event took place on Wednesday, August 21, where volunteers filled more than 1,400 new backpacks with school supplies for children in need. The backpacks will be distributed through Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services, The Educational Alliance, New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG), Edith and Carl Marks Jewish Community House of Bensonhurst, Jewish Community Council of Washington Heights—Inwood and the JCC of Marine Park. Now in its 18th year, Supplies for Success has filled nearly 100,000 backpacks, sending students back to school with the tools they need to have a successful year.
