(Courtesy of Agudath Sholom) Noted Israeli journalist and World Mizrachi shlicha to North America Sivan Rahav Meir will speak at Congregation Agudath Sholom on Tuesday, February 25, at 7:30 p.m. Her topic for the evening is “Orthodox vs. Secular/Israel vs. America: Finding Common Ground in a Polarized World.”
Sivan Rahav Meir is a television newscaster in Israel, best-selling author and Torah educator…and along with her husband, radio personality Yedidya Meir, make up an Israeli media power couple. Sivan was included by Forbes magazine in their list of the 50 most influential women in Israel, and listed by the Jerusalem Post as one of the 50 most influential Jews in the world. Her weekly lecture is watched online by thousands of people around the world.
“We are delighted to be able to bring Sivan Rahav Meir to the Stamford community,” said Rabbi David Israel, executive vice president for the Religious Zionists of America-Mizrachi. “As someone who interacts daily with some of the highest-ranking officials in Israel, she has her pulse on the current situation in the Middle East, and has much to share with her audience.”
