The popular Riverdale YM-YWHA Farmer’s Market begins its spring/summer season on May 10 and will continue meeting weekly until November 26.
The Farmer’s Market supports sustainable agricultural practices and includes a variety of kosher and non-kosher foods, as well as organic and/or local food. Vendors include Dines Farm, Concklin Farms, Wright Orchards LLC, Dr. Pickles, Migliorelli Farms, Bread Alone, The Cheese Guy and Ronnybrook Farms. This year, the Farmer’s Market will also include an educational component, featuring workshops, presentations, weekly talks, food demonstrations, cooking demonstrations and creative programming.
The Farmer’s Market is located at 237th Street and Independence Avenue, and will be open from 9 a.m.–2 p.m. every Sunday.
