This past Sunday, March 20th, the RJC Youth Department hosted a Pre-Purim parrot show specially geared toward younger children. The event saw an impressive turnout of more than 60 children and their families. The show by the dynamic Parrot Rebbe gave children an exciting chance to not only see the amazing tricks the beautiful birds were trained to do, but also meet them “up close and personal.” At the end of the show, parents and children were able to hold the birds in their hands, on their shoulders and even heads! Following the show, children were able to play in the Bounce Castle, eat some fresh and delicious cotton candy and popcorn and prepare special matanot l’evyonim by making sandwiches for the hungry.
