YINR Ruach, April
There will be two programs for YINR’s Ruach program this month.
On April 6, give your family the gift they will love: how to get your house in order! This presentation will be given by Myra Mogilner.
On April 13, a screening of “Making Trouble: Three Generations of Funny Jewish Women” will be shown, moderated by Baila Weiss. The movie tells the story of six of the greatest female comic performers of the last century: Molly Picon, Fanny Brice, Sophie Tucker, Joan Rivers, Gilda Radner and Wendy Wasserstein.
All programs begin with lunch at 12:30 p.m. followed by the program at 1:15 p.m. There is a $10 charge for non-YINR members. The events are at YINR, 1149 North Avenue in New Rochelle.
Women’s Event with Yoetzet Halacha Dalia Shulman, April 2
“Girl Talk with Dalia: Everything you wanted to know about mikveh but were afraid to ask” will be held at the home of Juli and Justin Brasch, 12 Ritchey Place in White Plains beginning at 7 p.m. Dalia is the Westchester Yoetzet Halacha.

WIJS Presents Dr. Avigail Rock, April 5
Join the Women’s Initiative for Jewish Studies on April 5 at 7:45 p.m. as they present Dr. Avigail Rock, Certified Rabbinic Advocate, Lecturer in Tanach and Torah Shebe’al Peh at Matan, Raanana, Hashmonaim and Beit Shemesh, Israel on the topic “Chazal’s Attitude Towards the Translation of the Torah.” Women and men are welcome. The event will be at YINR, 1149 North Avenue in New Rochelle.
YINR Haggadah Shiur, April 6
Rabbi Reuven Fink of YINR will teach a special shiur on the Haggadah on Wednesday, April 6 at 8:00 p.m. in the beit midrash. YINR is at 1149 North Avenue in New Rochelle.
SAR Chanukat HaBayit, April 7
Celebrate SAR’s major expansion to inaugurate SAR 3.0, the school’s largest expansion since it was originally founded and built. SAR 3.0 includes a beit midrash, classrooms, learning spaces, regulation gym, sixth grade wing, cafe, renovated lobby, a second multi-purpose room and more. RJC Welcomes Julie Baruch, April 8-9
Join the RJC community on Shabbat as we welcome Julie Baruch, our new Yoetzet Halacha, for her first Shabbat in the community. This Shabbat will raise awareness about infertility and pregnancy loss. There will be an event for women on Shabbat afternoon discussing a yoetzet’s role in a couple’s struggle with infertility and pregnancy loss as well as personal accounts from community members who have dealt with infertility and pregnancy loss.
Chabad Pelham Pre Passover Family Fun, April 10
