Model Seder at JASA Van Cortlandt Senior Center, April 19

Join the seniors at the JASA Van Cortlandt Senior Center, 3880 Sedgwick Ave., Bronx, for songs, blessings and appetizers. A festive lunch and holiday entertainment by Doug Leblang and Dmitri Zisl Slepovitch for the National Yiddish theatre will be at 1:15 p.m. Suggested contribution: $5 for seniors and $8 for non-seniors. Reservations required by April 15.


Westchester Communal Passover Seder, April 22

Congregation Anshe Sholom (50 North Ave, New Rochelle) will hold a communal Passover seder on Friday,  April 22, at 8:15 p.m. Led by Rabbi Evan Hoffman, the seder will be an evening of song, study, tradition and delicious food.  Reservations required: Adult $50, Child $25. Each year, the Bayit at HIR hosts over 400 people for the Passover seder. There is no charge to attend. Yom HaShoah Program in White Plains, May 4

Please join the YIWP community in honoring the memory of the six million Jews. This program will feature Run Unger in conversation with his daughter Audrey Reich. Mincha is at 7:40 p.m. and the program begins at 8 p.m. The event will be at the Hebrew Institute of White Plains, 20 Greenridge Ave.


County-Wide Holocaust Commemoration, May 5

There will be a county-wide Holocaust commemoration at 12-1 p.m. at the Garden of Remembrance, 148 Martine Avenue in White Plains. The program will include a keynote by Stanley Berger, a survivor of the Holocaust and the procession of Westchester’s rescued Holocaust Torahs and a guest speaker. The event is co-sponsored by the Westchester Jewish Council and the Holocaust and Human Rights Education Center.


Witness Theater with Students from SAR Academy, May 5

An innovative and emotional intergenerational journey for Holocaust survivors and students. Working together, the two generations elicit and renew the moving stories of survival. The event runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m and is free, but reservations are required.
