World Gratitude Day took place on Wednesday, September 21. Atria’s local effort was part of the “GoGrateful” campaign, during which residents from Atria Senior Living communities across the U.S. and Canada demonstrated their appreciation. Atria Riverdale residents hopped on board the Atria bus for a “Gratitude Adventure Road Trip,” stopping to share their gratitude for the wonderful community workers who partner with them throughout the year. The group made several stops, first at the library to thank the local librarian, and delivered a bouquet of flowers; brought candy and doughnuts to the NYPD Precinct #50 and to FDNY Engine 52, Ladder 52; flowers to Sister Amy from St. Gabriel’s Church and jellies and jams to the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale. Just a few of the many community workers for whom they are ever grateful.
