Sukkot Party by Mishkan Israel Day Camp, October 8

A Sukkot party will be held at the camp, 642 Westover Road, Stamford, at 5 p.m. The event will feature live music, children’s entertainment, a hot buffet and refreshments. The event is free of charge and open to all.

 

Chabad of Inwood’s Sukkah Event, October 8

The Chabad of Inwood in Manhattan will be hosting a Sukkah Wood art event from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Indian Hill Park, which is at the intersection of 215th and Indian Road. There will be music, arts, entertainment and more. Learn more at sukkahwood.org.

 

The Future of New Rochelle, October 19

The Congregation of Anshe Sholom in downtown New Rochelle will be hosting a 2 p.m. event with Albert Tarantino, councilman for District 2. All are welcome, and a suggested donation is $3. Refreshments will be served. Congregation Anshe Sholom is at 50 North Avenue, New Rochelle. 

 

Third Annual Health and Safety Awareness Day, October 22

From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Riverdale Jewish Center, learn how you can keep your family safe while talking to members of FDNY, NYPD, Hatzolah and Aquabilites. Learn about furniture anchor safety, carseat safety and more. This kid-friendly event allows children to board a real fire truck, police car and ambulance. A CPR class will be given for free by the Riverdale Hatzolah (pre-registration is required). Food will be available for purchase. RJC is at 3700 Independence Ave., Bronx.

 

Law and Order with Joel Seidemann, October 22

‘Circumcise Me,’ October 22

This movie shows the funny story of Haredi comedian Yisroel Campbell’s three conversions to Judaism. Open to all and refreshments will be served. A $5 donation is suggested. The event will be held at 5 p.m. at Congregation Anshe Sholom, 50 North Ave., New Rochelle.

 

Riverdale Challah Bake, October 26

The Riverdale community is pleased to invite all women regardless of affiliation or experience and girls ages 6 and up to its third annual Challah Bake at 7:30 p.m. at the RJC, where women unite and bake challah to spread the spirit of Shabbat. This year’s event is organized by Bracha Rosenbaum, Gila Russo, Andrea Harris, Tobey Lass and Aimee Baron. The event will include programming for children and adults and will cost $18 for children and $25 for adults.
