The children of the 2-year-old Nursery at Stein Yeshiva early childhood are busy getting ready and having fun learning about the upcoming chagim of chodesh Tishrei: Sukkot and Simchat Torah! The yeladim are shaking the lulav, smelling the esrog, preparing decorations to hang in the sukkah and proudly waving their flags around that they will be bringing home for Simchat Torah.
To truly experience and celebrate the chag, the 2 year olds are putting up a Sukkah right in the classroom! First, the children painted a large canvas to hang around the wooden frame of the sukkah. Next, the children ventured outside on a nature walk to find schach to hang over the top. Lastly, the children embellished “bruchim habaim” signs to use to welcome in their guests. On Friday, the 2 year old’s joined in the rest of the early childhood classes for a school wide chagiga! The children brought their toy torahs, lulav and esrogim, personalized degalim and danced up and down the hallways and around the recess yard to the joyous singing of “Torah Tzivah Lanu Moshe!” Chag sameach l’kulam!
