Learning to Look is a program for first through fifth graders in which parents and relatives can volunteer to teach classes about art from a specific period in art history and do related art projects with students. The year culminates with an exciting trip to see the original artwork at one of the New York City art museums! Learning to Look serves to be a fun and memorable experience for the students and the parents. But, most importantly, students learn how to understand art and its place in history and society, a subject that they might not have been exposed to in other areas of study.
