Many families travel and go away for vacation during the yeshiva winter break. For students who do not go away, Stein Yeshiva offers a fun and unique opportunity to attend winter camp right at school! The Stein Yeshiva Winter Camp runs a fun week of fun and engaging programming during the week of winter break, the second to last week of January.
During the week, the children enjoy STEM focused projects, such as a 3D water-colored pictures using glue and salt. The children observed how the paint travels and spreads quickly on the salt even though they did not put any paint on it! Through their activities, the children investigated the process of salt absorption and were fascinated to watch it happen right before their eyes. Between their busy art projects and science experiments, the children squeezed in time to play in the school’s bouncy castle, move around the room in a class dance party and enjoyed a wacky rainbow stripes dress up day! The yeladim certainly had a great vacation right in their own school. Everyone agreed pajama day was their favorite dress up day as they drank hot chocolate and counted the mini marshmallows that floated in their cups. The yeshiva was happy to welcome back all of its students to school following the camp and hope that everyone enjoyed the vacation.
