As the eighth grade class prepares to enter high school, it’s important for them to reflect on what they’ve learned so far at WDS to better prepare them for what lies ahead. Morah Ronit took the long portion of Magid from the seder and broke each section down to explain its meaning. Each section was followed with introspective discussion questions for the students to answer. Students thought deeply about topics like what role models they have in life, what mental hardships they have undergone and what motivates them to be a good person. Students found it interesting to connect the holiday of Pesach with learning about themselves in this self-reflective experience. One student shared that she liked how the assignment gave her an opportunity to look within and enjoy a quiet and relaxing “therapy session” with herself.
