The sixth grade class joined together to learn about tikkun olam, repairing Hashem’s world, and how performing acts of kindness that respond to others in need is a core Jewish value. The sixth graders planned and publicized a pre-Pesach shoe drive to benefit the Kids Kloset. This social service agency, located in White Plains, distributes full wardrobes, packed into “Bags of Love,” to children in need, from birth through 18. The students decorated donation bins and hung hand-made signs throughout the school to spread the word.
