Since the start of the academic year, third graders at Westchester Torah Academy have been perfecting their ktav Rashi skills and learning many of Rashi’s commentaries as they study Chumash. On Friday, May 17, parents and grandparents gathered to celebrate the progress their children have made through their studies. Students split up into groups and performed different scenes from Chumash that they had chosen. In full costume, they acted out the scene as well as the corresponding Rashi commentary in Hebrew. The students also prepared multiple A cappella songs as part of their celebration. After a seudat mitzvah, families gathered together to learn Rashi’s commentary on tefillah in chavruta.
