On Wednesday, January 15, children of the Stein Yeshiva nursery took a special walking trip over to the Second Precinct Police Station of Yonkers. Accompanying the children was parent volunteer and Hatzalah member, Ben Langstein. The Langstein family sponsored breakfast for the station while the children brought along a super-sized thank you card. The card was created by the children as a way of showing hakarat hatov and thanks to the Second Precinct for the extra security they are providing Stein Yeshiva. The children, staff and parents are all grateful and appreciative of the extra patrol car stationed outside the school throughout the day. Next week, the school will be continuing to upgrade the physical facilities of the building, including security film on the outside windows, new access controlled security doors to the playground, as well as an upgraded front door lock, all thanks to Homeland Security grants awarded to the yeshiva.
