If you walked into the Shorashim (three’s) classroom at Westchester Torah Academy last week, you may have thought that students were getting ready to enjoy some Chinese food. What they were really doing was using chopsticks to build fine motor skills. Learning to pick up small objects with chopsticks helps build muscles in their fingers and improves upon students’ concentration and coordination to help with everyday tasks.
