(yumacs.com) The Yeshiva University men’s golf team earned a victory over Old Westbury, 334-356, at the Pelham Bay Golf Course last week. The Maccabees now start the season 2-0.

“It’s a huge accomplishment to start the season 2-0,” Yeshiva Head Coach Jason Eisenman said. “However, no one is getting ahead of themselves. This team has high expectations and will look to get better.”

Leading the way for the Maccabees was senior Dan Schub and new comer Alex Malech, who each shot an 82 to finish in a tie for second overall. Sophomore Solomon Shulman and classmate Jordan Soclof each recorded an 85, while Izak Held shot an 86. In exhibition, junior Ben Kahan scored an 85, while senior Jacob Saks finished with an 89.
