I strongly condemn the threats made today against two Jewish Community Centers in Westchester County, as well as others across the country.

These are cowardly acts that cannot and will not be tolerated in our communities. Jewish Community Centers do great work and provide invaluable services to local children, families and seniors. These are anti-Semitic attacks and federal, state and local law enforcement must work together to swiftly bring those responsible for these reprehensible acts to justice. The perpetrators must be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

The threats made today against Jewish Community Centers in New Rochelle, Tarrytown, Staten Island, Nassau County and other locations across the country follow four previous waves of similar incidents.

The act of calling in a bomb threat is an act of terrorism plain and simple. JCCs help people and make our communities a better a place to live. We cannot allow these hateful, anti-Semitic threats to continue.
